Beginning with a clear, consensus team vision, clear success metrics, an understanding of the role of the team and it’s rules of engagement, over a series of 6-7 dedicated meetings (typically off site), we build the trust, the team relationships, and the team norms and processes for high functioning leadership teams to get their organizations to the next level of success.
While not limited to it, we model our approach after Patrick Lencioni’s Five Dysfunctions of a Team, focusing on one dysfunction per off site, and building upon each previous off site(s), with the goal being the daily application of the key principles and practices of the model on the job. It’s this focus on daily application (walking the talk) that makes our approach both unique and highly productive. We also coach individual members along the way (to be both good team mates as well as domain leaders of their own subunits), build peer coaching (radical candor) relationships as we go, as well as individual and collective leadership competencies to effectively lead the business, the organizational units, and the middle management company-wide.
Executive team building is typically conducted within 12 – 18 months, with the budget and schedule depending upon the scope of the project, the size and geography of the various management groups, and the urgency of the project (budgets typically vary between fifty and one hundred thousand U.S., travel and purchase of third party copyrighted materials are additional).
